Description

Resistor products that can withstand short-time overload and high peak powers. A momentary pulse surge into a resistor or continuous high power operation of a resistor can generate a high level of heat. The two common types of high energy pulse resistant resistors are generally thick film technology and wirewound technology. If this heat is not diffused in time, all the heat will collect on the already small number of resistance elements and affect the resistance performance. C&B Electronics recommends the solid ceramic resistor technology, which is conductive through the body, non-inductive and has a very high energy density, rarely failing due to overload of the resistor. Compared to wirewound and thick film resistors, solid ceramic resistors offer a smaller, more compact construction.
